We partner with hard-to-reach communities in rural Honduras to empower its people with the tools needed to rise above poverty.

Education

Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” which we firmly believe. Access to education in the rural communities of Honduras can be difficult and under-funded. We partner with local schools and teachers to help provide needed supplies, repairs, infrastructure (classrooms), and celebrations. Additionally we help provide needed education and trainings for adults in these communities.

Public health

Health is key to thriving in life. We help bring needed public health solutions to communities and families. We have built bathrooms, laid cement floors, eco-stoves, and pilas to numerous families to improve the health and sanitation of their homes as well as worked on clean water systems for communities.

Economic Development

Financial empowerment is an important step in overcoming poverty. Our artisan brand, EverHope Collective, provides dignified work by creating beautiful home goods and accessories. Additionally we provide trainings for communities that encourage financial stability.

Gloria

“I didn’t have my own room. Now I have a room, and I am so grateful with God.”
In 2022, Gloria received a home makeover which included a new bathroom and shower, a pila, and eco-stove as well as a new bedroom and a porch!

“I feel very happy with this [public health] project because we’ve never received something like this.”
In 2019, Ildefonso and his family worked alongside a visiting team from the USA to build a new bathroom and shower, lay a cement floor, and install a new eco-stove and pila.
Paula

“I feel very thankful with SoloHope because they gave me the gift of a bathroom and cement floor. Through the power of God, they helped me.”
Paula touched our hearts in the deepest way. In 2020, she received a bathroom, pila, and cement floor. During that same time, she learned she had cancer. Our team was able to walk alongside Paula and her family during this difficult time and help provide medical assistance. Paula accepted Jesus as her Savior with one of our team members. A few months later, she passed away. She left an everlasting imprint on our hearts and we look forward to seeing her again in heaven.
Eucebia

“¡Gracias!”
In 2020, after the worst of the pandemic hit the world, two hurricanes pounded Honduras. A local teacher informed us of her situation. Her home had been flooded. Everything in her home was inundated with water. We knew we had to do something and took on the project of building her a new home on higher ground. Her new home was completed in 2021.
As we’ve gotten to know Eucebia, we have fallen in love with her invincible spirit. Now in her 90s, she raised 14 children, none of which were biological children. She is our hero as she is for many in her community.
